Bloglines, massive and ubiquitious news reading
If you’re a news eater like I am (53 RSS feeds updated very often), then you’re probably using a news aggregator either in the form of a software or online. I have used for a while the excellent Vienna (mac) news reader. However, I’ve had to switch to Windows for a while (at work) and never found any good news reader.
The light came when I discovered Bloglines online news aggregator. The advantages:
- Most of the features or native software are found, including efficient keyboard navigation (very important when you read a lot of news)
- Ubiquity: You can access your news from any browser, including a well crafted mobile interface
- It includes search agents that crowl though thousands of blogs and then present it as a classic subsciption.
An don’t be fooled by the name, it’s not only about blogs but any RSS/Atom sources.
Give it a try here, it’s free!
