Looks like every web company wants to have the biggest part possible of your social activity these days (Myspace, Facebook, Skyblog…).
It used to be your money through ecommerce & auctions, it’s now your social life everybody wants to have a part of, but don’t be fooled, your social life is just an other way to monetize you, in a better way, through your eyes seeing ads, using affiliation mechanisms, all offers being better targeted at your needs.
Anyway, I saw yesterday the story over at Techcrunch that Mozilla is also going social. It reminded me that almost one year ago, I proposed an equivalent concept to Flock named digifriends… I know they’re working on it but I can’t understand why they are delivering so slowly…

Good luck Mozilla & good luck Flock (that seem to be happy about the news), you have a privileged position to deliver and spread correctly this type of features.

Here’s a mockup I had done in june last year ;)
