May 18th, 2007And AOL gets Third screen media
Less than two weeks after the Microsoft/Screentonic deal, US based mobile advertizing company Third Screen Media is acquired by AOL. I’ll retain one quote from the official announcement:
“The acquisition comes as the mobile advertising industry is growing exponentially. In the U.S., mobile advertising is expected to grow from $421 million in 2006 to $4.7 billion by 2011, while globally the market is expected to increase to $11.3 billion by the same year, according to eMarketer.”
These figures are know but this is all good news for all of us evolving in the mobile advertizing space. The coming years are going to be very exciting!
